RACE PACKET PICK-UP is at The Foot and Ankle Clinic of Montana in the Evergreen Square 1301 11th Ave. South (across from Holiday Village Mall) on Wednesday, November 27 from 3:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Packet pick-up is available on race day from 7:00 to 7:45 a.m., Thursday, November 28th, 2013 @ Fish, Wildlife and Park office.
Course Info
Both races begin on the River's Edge Trail just behind (South of) the Fish, Wildlife and Parks Office - located @ 4600 Giant Springs Road, Great Falls, MT. Parking and restroom facilities are available in Heritage Park - just beyond (East of) the FWP Office.
10k Course
The 10K begins first - @ 8AM - heading West. The course is flat and fast along the Missouri River on the paved River's Edge Trail. The race turns around midway at a water station located @ the Missouri River Diner - 1000 River Drive North. Runners will head back on the same route. There are no road crossings.
5k Course
The 5K begins @ 8:10AM - heading East. This course is also entirely on the paved River's Edge Trail, but has 1 road crossing and a steady climb to the turn around point located just beyond the water station in the Lewis and Clark Overlook Parking Lot.
Directions & Misc Info:
Finisher's Tent will be located in Heritage Park - providing warm and cold beverages and a few light snacks ... wouldn't want to fill you up too much before the feasting begins.
Directions to Race:
Start from 10th Avenue South... Head East on 10th Ave. South. Turn Left on to 15th St. South. Go 1.8 miles - turn Right on River Dr. North Go 1.8 miles - turn Left on Giant Springs Road Go 1.7 miles - FWP Office will be on your Right for late packet pick-up. Heritage Park is also on the right - just past the FWP Office - for race day parking.
